RE: Effectiveness of Chemo

Robyn It depends what is causing the low WBC.  When my husband first started chemo, he had to get a WBC booster vaccine after the chemo in order to keep his immune system up The low WBC and fever could be from something else, infection, flu, etc. They will see what happens with getting the fever down and his WBC back up.  They will probably do the chemo again, and see if there is any similar effect.  If not, he can continue the chemo.
